With summer right around the corner, I love seeing all the bright colors and fun designs out there (especially in my favorite color). Trent has adopted orange as his favorite color, too, and we can't resist all the fun orange goodies lately! Here are a few of his picks for the upcoming summer:
I Love My Mom shirt (also comes in a onesie).
Crab Short PJ's - With the hot Texas summers, I think we are going to try him out in shorty PJ's pretty soon. I love his little footy jammies, but these are equally adorable. Plus the crab reminds me of Spongebob..sold.
Food Pouches - I almost went crazy when I found out you could buy the pouches to fill yourself. Done!
Divided Tray (Target, in stores only) - Okay...so he can't use this yet, but I am saving it for the near future. I mean..it is like a cafeteria tray, it is orange, AND it has a hot dog reference. I might have to get another one for myself.
Flip Flops - These are super cheap and come in several different colors/prints. I am adamant that he has to wear shoes everywhere, no matter what, and these will be perfect for summer when socks are just way too hot.
Hot Dog Onesie - Back to the hot dogs..I know, I know. I just LOVE hot dogs. Last summer was total torture because I was pregnant and not allowed to eat them. Thankfully my sister-in-law, Renee, found some that are pregnancy-safe halfway through the summer. No telling how many I ate. This summer there are no restrictions, though, and it is on. Maybe I will even eat one on
Cutter Mosquito Wipes - Ever since the huge West Nile problem last year I have been worrying about what I would do this summer when Trent was actually here. After much research and talking with our pediatrician, we found these awesome wipes (and majorly stocked up...thanks, Amazon!). The active ingredient is Picardin which is safe for baby (unlike Deet) and actually repels mosquitoes (unlike the "natural" or "family" varieties of repellant). They also come in these convenient wipes which is better for baby than a spray which can get in their eyes, nose, mouth, etc. Bring it on, mosquitoes!! Actually, please don't. Even armed with the wipes I am still terrified.
Baby Sunglasses - I bought these for Trent months ago when they first hit shelves and immediately bought myself a matching pair at Target. We rock them as often as possible. It is so much harder to do mommy+son matching outfits, but picking one statement accessory like this is an easy way to get the point across.
